Hyundai Motor’s high-performance brand N unveiled the IONIQ 6 N for the first time globally on Thursday, July 10, at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the UK’s largest automotive event.
The IONIQ 6 N combines Hyundai’s cutting-edge electrification technologies with data from its “rolling lab”—a testbed for motorsports performance. Designed to satisfy both track and daily driving, this is Hyundai N’s second high-performance electric vehicle (EV).
Built on N’s three core performance pillars—Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sports Car—the IONIQ 6 N brings the joy of high-performance driving into the electrified era.
The IONIQ 6 N delivers a combined output of 478kW (650PS) and 770Nm of torque through a dual-motor AWD system and an 84.0kWh high-capacity battery, with next-gen suspension geometry for agile handling and excellent control.
After its debut in PURE ETCR (Electric Touring Car Racing), Hyundai N has continued developing EVs that excel on both the racetrack and everyday roads. The IONIQ 6 N marks a new benchmark in this evolution.

Blistering performance meets precise handling.
With launch control activated, the IONIQ 6 N accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. Under standard conditions, it produces 448kW (609PS) and 740Nm of torque, which boosts to 478kW and 770Nm when using the N Grin Boost (NGB) function.
The N Battery system optimizes temperature and power output via three modes: Drag, Sprint, and Endurance. These help deliver peak performance in varied track conditions.
Its streamlined sedan profile gives it a lower drag coefficient (Cd 0.27) and center of gravity than the IONIQ 5 N, improving high-speed handling and stability. The addition of a large rear wing spoiler, aerodynamic components like active grille flaps, front splitters, and underbody diffusers, all work together to enhance downforce and airflow.
With 20-inch forged wheels and 275/35R20 tires co-developed with Pirelli, the IONIQ 6 N offers maximum grip. A widened fender design and a new exclusive color, Performance Blue Pearl, convey a bold, dynamic presence.
Enhanced suspension and body rigidity
The IONIQ 6 N features next-generation suspension geometry and stroke-sensitive ECS dampers. Adjustments such as a lower roll center, increased front caster trail, and stiffer rear springs contribute to precise, stable cornering at high speeds.
Chassis reinforcements and front hydro G bushings improve structural response, while dual-layer bushings in the rear enhance ride comfort. The overall result is a highly responsive and comfortable performance sedan.

Next-gen EV driving experiences
The IONIQ 6 N includes several high-performance driving enhancements: N e-Shift, N Ambient Shift Light, and N Active Sound+.
N e-Shift simulates gear shifting for a more connected, sporty experience, while the ambient light system cues drivers on optimal shifting points. N Active Sound+ produces immersive synthetic engine noises with multi-channel sound control and new effects like Lightspeed and NGB audio.
Track-ready features include N Drift Optimizer, N Torque Distribution (adjustable across 11 levels), N Pedal for regenerative cornering, and N Track Manager with track map recording and lap timing. Custom TPMS settings, built-in dashcam overlays (N Race Cam), and a roof-mounted action cam holder support content creation and post-run analysis.
Debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed
The IONIQ 6 N made its public debut on the iconic Hillclimb course at Goodwood, alongside its Drift Spec variant and models outfitted with N Performance Parts.
Hyundai also showcased the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 5 N TA Spec at its dedicated display area, giving visitors a hands-on look at the brand’s high-performance electric lineup.
In Korea, the IONIQ 6 N will be exhibited at Lotte Premium Outlet in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province, from July 12 to 20, alongside other IONIQ 6 models to promote the full lineup to domestic customers.

Utilizing a series-parallel hybrid structure, the vehicle delivers an EV-like driving experience powered by dual motors that handle both propulsion and battery charging.
Its dedicated hybrid transmission, the e-DHT, offers nine driving modes—EV, HEV, engine, and more—that switch fluidly based on driving conditions. In urban environments, it can operate in EV mode up to 94% of the time (based on CVS-75), achieving quiet and efficient operation.
Equipped with the largest high-voltage battery among domestic hybrids (1.83kWh), the Actyon Hybrid ensures a stable power supply and maximized system efficiency. A 130kW high-power motor delivers dynamic, EV-like acceleration, while a BMS-integrated LFP low-voltage battery provides long-lasting reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Fuel efficiency also sees a significant boost, with a combined rating of 15.0km/l and city mileage of 15.6km/l on 20-inch wheels (Nexen tires). With Michelin tires, city mileage increases to 15.8km/l, further enhancing its appeal as a practical city SUV.

Based on KGM’s “Powered by Toughness” design philosophy, the Actyon Hybrid features a dynamic and refined exterior suitable for urban use.
The vehicle incorporates a floating roofline and LED DRLs inspired by the four trigrams of the Korean flag, blending tradition with modern aesthetics. Its elongated body and 20-inch wheels emphasize a strong, stable silhouette.
Exterior colors include six monotone options—Latte Greige, Grand White, Iron Metal, Forest Green, Dandy Blue, and Space Black—and four two-tone variants (excluding Dandy Blue and Space Black). Interior color choices include Black, Black Suede Quilted, and Camel & Beige two-tone.
The cabin provides a practical and comfortable environment for families, with generous legroom (1,050mm in front, 939mm in rear) and up to 652L of cargo space when the rear seats are folded.
Premium features at a mid-range price point
The Actyon Hybrid comes in a single S8 trim, priced at 36.95 million KRW (reflecting 3.5% individual consumption tax and eco-friendly vehicle tax incentives).
Despite a price increase of only around 2.7 million KRW compared to the gasoline model, it includes numerous high-demand features as standard.
These include 20-inch diamond-cut wheels with 245/45R20 tires, double-laminated solar control acoustic glass, quilted genuine leather seats, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (IACC), smart power tailgate with kick motion sensor, 12.3-inch KGM LINK navigation package, OTA software updates, and advanced safety systems like Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Emergency Braking Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist.
Optional features include a panoramic sunroof, 3D Around View Monitoring System, Deep Control Package II, 20-inch Michelin noise-reducing tires, and an Alpine audio system.
Revised gasoline model and marketing campaign
KGM has also updated the gasoline Actyon model to align with the hybrid’s single S8 trim. Priced at 34.17 million KRW, it comes equipped with the same popular features as the hybrid version.
To support the launch, KGM is rolling out a “Guaranteed Residual Value Financing Program” to reduce upfront costs and preserve resale value. At 3.9% interest, buyers can pay a 30% down payment and lease the vehicle for about 190,000 KRW per month over 60 months. Those who resell after three years (45,000km) or five years (75,000km) and purchase another KGM vehicle can receive up to 64% of the vehicle’s price back.
KGM is also running a television ad campaign highlighting the Actyon Hybrid’s “no-charge electric vehicle” concept, showcasing the unique strengths of its dual-tech hybrid system alongside the Torres Hybrid model.

KG Mobility (KGM) has launched its new vehicle subscription service ‘KGM MOBILING,’ marking its entry into the mobility platform business.
‘KGM MOBILING’ allows users to rent KGM vehicles on a monthly basis, without incurring additional costs such as insurance, taxes, maintenance, deposits, or down payments. The service aims to offer a hassle-free experience by eliminating the financial burdens typically associated with vehicle ownership.
The name ‘KGM MOBILING’ combines ‘Mobility’ with the present progressive suffix ‘-ing,’ symbolizing a life in constant motion and a spirit of continuous adventure.
Initially, the service will include models such as Torres, Torres Hybrid, and Actyon, along with the upcoming Actyon Hybrid set for release in July. The lineup will later expand to include eco-friendly and newly launched vehicles. Users can switch their vehicles monthly to suit their lifestyle needs.
Monthly subscription fees are expected to range from around 700,000 to 800,000 KRW, allowing up to 2,500 kilometers of driving per month, making it a practical option for daily life.
Vehicle maintenance, including replacement of consumables and regular checkups, is provided free of charge. The service features real-time monitoring of vehicle condition using over 20 types of safety-related data and offers systematic management through a nationwide network of over 1,350 service centers.
Eligibility is open to Korean nationals aged 26 or older who have held a driver’s license for more than one year and possess a credit card under their own name.
‘KGM MOBILING’ is being launched in strategic partnership with Car 123 Jesper, Korea’s top vehicle management outsourcing company, to ensure professional service operation and enhanced customer satisfaction.
KGM emphasized that ‘KGM MOBILING’ is not just a car rental service but a dynamic mobility platform designed to empower customers to enjoy their daily lives with freedom and confidence. The company plans to expand the service with additional models and lifestyle packages, such as camping options, in the future.
